No. Each of the Recology Facilities are different, to ensure you are bringing the correct recyclable waste to the correct yard be sure to call or check the web site for specifics.

Will Recology Oregon Material Recovery haul waste from my home or job site?
No. We not provide a "pick-up" or hauling service. We collect recycled waste only at our four convenient Portland area locations.

Do Recology Oregon Material Recovery Facilities pay for metal?
No. We do not pay for metal, nor do we charge for metal waste.

Is all the waste collected recycled?
We at Recology Oregon Material Recovery try to recycle as much of the material as we can that enters our yards. The small amount of non-recyclable waste which enters our yard is hauled to the landfill.

What does MRF stand for?
MRF (pronounced murf) is an acronym for Material Recovery Facility.

Does my load need to be covered?
Only at Recology - Foster Road Recovery Facility do we require a covered load, uncovered loads will be charged $20.00 in addition to their drop fee. Though none of the other locations require a covered load, it is recommended so debris does not "fly" out of your vehicle onto the roadways.

How do I apply for a job at Recology Oregon Material Recovery?

Is Recology Oregon Material Recovery open year round?
Yes. All of our locations are open year round; any change of hours will always be posted on the home page of our web site.

Where can I dispose of paint?
Paint and other hazardous waste such as motor oil, solvents, poisons, etc. can be brought to Metro's hazardous waste facilities. For more information call Metro Recycling Information Hotline at 503-234-3000.

Can I bring home wood or items which others have thrown away in your yards?
Going through our recycling piles can be dangerous; to ensure no body is injured we do not allow customers to take home any of the debris dropped off at any of our yards.
